I read on the sola mod site thet Solaufein can join your party, but when I was in the Underdark (I think after I went to the demon summoning ceremony) he offered to join my party, I refused though.
What is so special (not the improved battles) about this mod making Solaufein a NPC (and except for the extra dialogues, extra romances etc.)? |

He won't join your party if you don't have the mod.

I'm sure that I don't have this mod but he offers himself to join me, but I refused him and I don't know if you can get him or that he refuses later in the conversation. Didn't anybody had the same?
When I leave the temple of loth (I think after the demon summoning ritual) he asks if he can join me. This is really weird, though. I'm in chapter 2 now but I go and see if it happens again when I've done some quests. |

Um, I'm sure nobody who downloaded the mod feel as you do, because the entire REASON to download the mod is to get Solaufein! And if you need better reasons besides dialogue and banter, you get a few more battles, he gets some special abilities, and he's REALLY good in a fight.
