Here are some obviously stupid questions for some of you...... What the heck is an editor? Someone told me that it was a "helper", but now is that cheating?

I started off as a mage, do not remember the school though... opps...
is that good? Thinking I should have been a fighter.

I am serious, I am that new to the whole computer gaming world, took me a while to muster the courage to post here.

Hopefully y'all will get to know me.

Depends. If you mean tools like Shadowkeeper, it allows you to modify the game to your liking, and edit statistics. Like all ultilities like it, you can either use it to correct bugs, or cheat.

If you mean Infinity Explorer or its ilk, that is an editor to help create mods for the game.

Warrior type classes are generally considered newbie-friendly, as the basic goes along the line of, "Grog see, Grog smash!" Do not lose heart however, my first character was a Sorcerer, and despite some bad spell picks, I managed to complete the game with him, thanks largely to the party.

How do I do Multiplayer?

Get Gamespy and connect to their network. Alternatively, arrange a TCP/IP game with your friends.

Welcome Deeth!Fighters can use almost any weapon, and gain a full 5 profieciencies in any slot, and gains another every like 3 levels.
Mages can cast very powerful spells though, that can kill guys instantly. The drawback is that when they run out of spells, they are the weakest thing you can have to fight with.
Multi-Player is simple.Go to Game configuration, and set cache size to 300mb or more.Then run the game select multiplayer, choose "pre-generate character" then create your player and export it. to have a party created by yourself, export six players.Then when it shows the screen with your multiplayer name in six places(if you are playing by yourself)click on the spot next to it and click on the player you made. Do this to every slot.Then highlight your name on every one and click accept.If i left anything out, post it in this topic.

Thanks y'all,

Methinks I will go back with a fighter until I get the hang of things. I played Dungeons and Dragons when I was younger, well, until I got married, my wife does not understand the whole concept of it so I have ceased to play, still have the books and hint at people we know about it..... Oh well, my old friends still understand her and her quirks. Now to try multiplayer..... Fear creeps over me now.....

Didn't anyone see the name Deeth and remember the old D&D cartoon.... or am I just too old? I was going to use Warduke.... Might use his picture though..... X)
