I was wondering, why didn't they have more deity options. They left out a lot of them, like Torm, Tyr, Moradin, Clangeddin, Mask, and such. What was with that. I really can't picture a dwarven priest of Lathander.

They were only creating 3 kits per class (excepting specialty mages) and mythos priests are considered kits. They didn't wanna add to many I guess. I wish they'd added more personally but oh well.

Probably because they would have had to craft so many more temples and stuff them into the Temple area..not to mention all the new dialogs and quests they'd have to create. The three choices in the game cover good, neutral, and evil..and that's pretty much all anybody needs without going into too much detail.

I think they should have a specialist priest for each alignment.

I find it rather hard to find a chaotic neutral priest of helm credible.

Now, its the opposite. But that doesn't explain Ajantis in BGI does it now. I really wish they had Clangeddin or Moradin for the dwarves though...

Helm is Lawful Neutral; Lathander is Neutral Good. However, Paladins do honor Helm as well as the Watcher and Protector, so that would explain Ajantis in BG1.

I agree about Clangeddin or Moradin for the Dwarves...also, Corellon Larethian or Labelas Enoreth for the Elves, etc.

Sazerac, are you getting your Gods from the same website I just stole the source code from? I do know of at least one Evil god you didn't list, though--Deep Duerra, the LE demigod of the duergar, psionics, and duergar psionicists. One of the NPCs in the MOD I'm pretending to design is a LE Dwarven Priest of Duerra (Dire Charm 1/day per 5 levels, Symbol, Stun 1/day per 10 levels) found with the Duergar in Chapter 5.

As for having only 3 kits of each class, what about the Mage? They have eight kits, nine if you have ToB. With nine Cleric kits, that agrees perfectly with one kit for each alignment. True, there are only 3 Cleric Strongholds in the Temple District, but who says it has to be in the Tample District?
