I don't know how many of you have heard what happened to her, but last june she was kidnapped around midnight from her bedroom, her 9 year old sister being the only witness.
Now, on Wednesday, she was found, her kidnapper goes by the name of Emmanuel but is Bryan mitchel, a tax exempt who believes he is higher than god and according to the news today, was trying to get 7 wives. Also there was a local celebration 2 hours ago as well.

Go to the drudgereport.com there are a couple of links there that will really open your eyes about this strange story. I saw a picture of her dressed in a white burka-like robe while attending a party with her prophet/husband and fellow wife. She apparently took trips with her "captors" to both Atlanta and San Diego, and tried to help this Emanuel guy kidnap her 18 year old cousin out of her bedroom at night. There are many more stories coming out about her little fantasy trip, and there will probably be a couple of books written about this story. I'm telling you, she is really screwed up in the head!!

Well I am.
I have only visited Utah twice in my life, but have family members who either live there now or have gone to school (BYU/Ricks/UVSC) there in the past.
Anyhue, I know this was off topic, but it isn't everyday that you meet a fellow member... that is if you are one?

I have to say that this is truly an incredible and wonderful event. It is so very rare for a child who has been missing for so long a time to be found alive and returned to their family. The trajic events that have occured to this young lady are truly detestable, but her living reunion with her family is truly an event for all of us to rejoice over. Let us hope and pray that Elizabeth's emotional and psychological injuries will be healed as much as is humanly possible through extensive therapy and the love and devotion of her friends and family..

The simple truth is that she didn't want to be found.
1) When stopped and questioned by police she gives a false name. [img]graemlins/saywhat.gif[/img]
2) She hears people searching for her and has absolutely no chance to escape? [img]graemlins/idontagreeatall.gif[/img]
3) The kidnapper went back into the house to get her shoes. [img]graemlins/saywhat.gif[/img] (hint: kidnappers don't care whether you have shoes or not)

Yes, she is most likely brainwashed (or perhaps she suffers from Stockholm Syndrome like Patty Hearst did), but that doesn't change the fact that she didn't want to be found.

I do agree that she is lucky to be back home. It was only a matter of time before Emmanuel (or whatever his real name is) would have more nefarious designs for her....

They actually have to pass a law or have a debate to create a National Amber Alert program? [img]graemlins/saywhat.gif[/img] It isn't common sense to put one into place already?

its great she is home, but it doesnt all add up

1. for a while, she was right next door!
2. she heard searchers call for her but didnt do anything
3. the kidnapper was a homeless man hired by the family, dont you thik the would have his as a suspect???
4. her sister witnessed the event, but only mentioned it 9 months later. after 9 months of her being missing, she just said, i know where my sister is, i know who took her.

it just doesnt all add up.

Of course they were able to terrify her and make her not want to run away with threats against her and her family. That is one reason pedophiles like "Emanuel" are able to stay in business for as long as they do. 15 year old girls are only rebels to their parents.

People like this guy seek out those who are impressionable, whether they be young, have suffered a recent loss, or are emotionally immature. You're totally correct--15 is a very uncertain age. This guy is unfortunately another perversion of nature.
