Ok, the captions werent done by me, so it isnt me joking about. Many pics posted on this post.

It was a very serious crash:

The Crash

Whilst travelling along Doctors Lane, Eccleston at midnight on Christmas Day, Brad swerved to avoid an unidentified animal on the corner immediately subsequent to the mini-roundabout. He lost control of the car, it hit a wall/hedge located metres away from a bungalow and then rolled several times before coming to a halt eighteen ft from the the point of impact in the middle of a road.Brad was thrown through the drivers window, suffering serious grazing and various broken bones. The main damage came when the car landed on top of Brad, while he was half out of the window. This crushed him, and his collarbone. His two passengers escaped relatively unscathed, requiring only minor treatment. An ambulance arrived at the scene and everybody was rushed to Chorley hospital. The time was now roughly 1 AM. After receiving initial treatment in the Accident & Emergency ward, Brad was transferred to Preston hospital due to breathing difficulties. He was released the next day with his collarbone broken in three places, broken ribs and serious grazing and friction burns. I'm lucky to be alive.

The Car

It is a total write-off.

Although I class a broken left clavicle in three places with two broken ribs quite serious (!!), I agree that it could have been much worse, i.e broken neck, internal bleeding, head damage/brain damage.......I can see your point!

But I'm very lucky I know, but in a serious amount of pain still!

Thanx for your concern!

The scary thing is, the roof caved in above my head. Imagine if I didn't get thrown out of the car........I'd be crushed under that!

I didn't mean to make it sound I was making light of your injuries, its just that I've seen many fatal car accidents on our local news (almost daily lately) and the clips of the damaged vehicles look similar to that red car. So again I'm glad you all came out of it alive and not paralyzed or severely damaged. Bones will heal, in time. Ouch I've had a cracked rib before and I know how much that sucked and hurt like hell, I can't imagine what it must feel like to have two completely broken ones I suppose they x-rayed you to make sure that your lungs didn't get punchured by them? Either way, just take it EASY, it will take a few months to heal I'd imagine (especially the collar bone), so take care of yourself and don't go moving around after two weeks thinking you are almost healed up and can go about as normal! I've seen people do that more than once and regret it later.

Sorry LZ, I know you didn't mean that! I was just messing.

Well, I know I am lucky to come out alive, if you check the roof above where I was sat. Good job I got thrown out, and the broken bones are a good thing, cos at least I'm still breathing!

It could have been fatal, as the police/ambulance/parents and friends have all said.

The car is a mess, and it shows I hit at speed. All this cos I swerved for a stupid dog or something.

I'll try and stay still, but I just get irratated. But there is no worry of moving about much, as I am in total agony. My shoulder is killing when I move, and my Ribs make breathing feel like swallowing glass!

Thanx again!

Let me just state that on the photo with the caption "I think his ear stud has a scratch", he blinked half way through the taking of it, so that he looked 10x worse, he's ok really
