Can anyone tell me the volume formulae for volume of a......
Rectangular Based Pyramid Triangular Based Pyramid Cone (Spherical Based Pyramid?) I know cylinder is Pr˛ x h but I can't work out the rest. Thanks very much. ![]() DJG EDIT: Did I say Area? I'm in 3D, so that's volume. Thanks for pointing that out Chris. ![]() [ 12-05-2002, 02:22 PM: Message edited by: DJG ] |

I don't think it's quite that simple Have a look here
(I may not know a lot about maths, but I know what to type into Google )

Base area by height for prisms (including cylanders), one third of base area by height for Pyramids and Cones, four thirds pi by the cube of the radius for spheres.

Well I just had to storm into this thread with answers a blazing, as for once I know them because I have just finished my exams the week gone. And Maths was based heavily on area or 3-D shapes and Indices. Pretty easy. But I come in and I find the answers have been given... Damn..
