Just a quick note to say G'day, from Guam of all places. I decided to take a quick holiday just for the weekend.

Three connecting flights to get here - Sydney to Hong Kong (8 hours), Hong Kong to Manila (1.5 hours) and then Manila to Guam (4 hours), not including waiting time at airports. All up it was about 21 hours.

It's quite beautiful here and it really is almost like an oasis of Americana in the middle of the Pacific - quite bizarre, really. The shopping is allegedly pretty good, though I haven't had that much of an opportunity to check it out. The beaches are quite nice, but the surf isn't as good as Sydney (maybe because the weather has been nice and sunny).

Anyway thought I would check in to let everyone know I'm still keeping an eye on yous all. Try not to break the forum while I'm gone, and keep an eye on Cloudy for me.

Hope you have a great time there Memnoch! Don't forget to snap some shots to show us all when you return! Sounds nice, the gentle surf I mean, wish it had been that way on my vacation, I shoulda thought of Guam instead I guess , and you can always visit the Outer Banks NC Memnoch, I'm sure the surf will be suitable mutilative wise! Hey Memnoch I wasn't serious about the planned terrorist attack in Sydney so come back man!
btw. if you really want the full effect. Take a one way ticket, don't get any sleep for a couple of days, take no luggage and wear a t-shirt with afghani on the back on your way home...hehe.

Seriously though, have a great time mate and don't hog all the girls! I might want to go there in the near future too...hehe
