what armor can this wus wear? my brother just picked his arse up and the wimp has to go around naked cause he cant wear any armor he owns

Have you done the Planar Prison yet? If not, there's a special piece of armor that's dropped in the first battle that only bards can wear.
That's the planar prison, BTW, not Planar Sphere...the one that's triggered when you bring the gemstone back to the Five Flagons Inn. -Sazerac

Bards can wear any armor up to chain mail.
However non special chain mail disrupts their spellcasting. The Armor that Saz mentioned is good.Any elven chain will do nicely as well.

Green Melodic Chain. Will not disable mage spells.
Also, Drow Chain +3 & +5 work too...without disabling spells.. |

I am not 100% sure about it but I think that the Jester's chain doesn't allow spellcasting.
Anyone can verify this?

There is some good chain armour, Asliferund's eleven chain, that has an AC of 0 and makes you completely immune to normal weapons.
