A very Depressing Moment

Well, as i posted earlier, i just went on vacation. I live in N.Y., and when we were in New Jersey, right across the Hudson River was New York City. Its kinda sad not seeing the Trade Centers,and i really never realized how much they meant to me. Starring dumbfoundedly at the city with a blank expression is really depressing, specially when you see just the Empire State Building. It gives u an eerie feeling. Just a thought I'd like to share.

I also find it kinda sad when i see tv pics and films from NYC when the Twin Tower are not there anymore i have been in NYC once and i thot that the towers was a masterpice of a great architecture.

I remember the first time I crossed the George Washington bridge over NYC after September 11... and saw the skyline. It looks like it is missing something.

It is infinitely sad to see the hole where there was majestic buildings.

The Pentagon is working very hard to finish their reconstruction by September 11 this year. They will make it because the workers are obsessed with doing this as a tribute.

The loss of life was tragic. But if we learn from it - something to make us better as people - then it was an expensive lesson, but worth it.

yes, it was truly a horrible event. for about a month after september 11, i felt nothing but depression. but i find the worse part is when i see video footage of new york back when the towers were there, it's hard to believe they're gone, and all those people who died, i try not to think about it too much.

Yes, it is sad. I was at Disney last night. There is an attraction there called the Timekeeper. It was a 360* video thing about past present and future. And in the present the showed a fly by of NY at night (360 degrees around) And the Towers were there. It was sad to see it. Especially in an attraction.

Sad indeed. While we shouldnt constantly think about the horror and depression Sept. 11 caused, we should never forget either.

Indeed. In less than a month the world will mark a year since the day, and yet personally it seems like just a month ago, a memory away, when I saw the towers burn on live television. Let us hope we never forget the events of that day, and the day-to-day heroism the world witnessed in the weeks to follow.

It's hard to believe that it was almost a year ago. It truely doesn't seem that long ago.

I remember my mum waking me up in the morning and telling what had happened, and for all that morning I simply couldn't comprehend what had happened, the immensity of what had unfolded. I remember going to uni and walking around in a slight daze, and I recall many of my friends acting in a similar way. I'm 21, and I have never experienced such a thing in my life, so what happened that day kind of caught me off guard.

Perhaps I'm a hopeless romantic, but I hope that one day the entire world will be at peace.
