Well, as usual, i went to the IW main page, but it took an insane amount of time to load it up, maybe 4-5 minutes or so. I have a good internet connection, but it took forever. Never happened before too.

Never had that happen, but some days I can't get to the forums at all. (The main page works fine though)

I have been learning an extremly huge amount of information about internet connections and how it works this weekend, as you probably alreadyb know with my story of being unable to connect to this site for the past two weeks. It is not always the fault of this site, nor does it matter how fast your connection speed is.
When you log on for the first time, you create a pathway to this site from your home...and the pathway your connection takes involves "hopping" from one point of reference to another in order to make it to here. Now, this memorized pathway is a temporary one, and will refresh itself on a timed basis. Thus, your stuff has to relearn the trail. Also...one of those hops could be a trouble-maker, and holds up traffic instead of letting it pass. For all those PC technitions out there that are at this time laughing your heads of at my pathetic attempt to explain the marvellous world of technology...er...I know I am stupid and do not have any idea what I am really talking about! But I still wanted to post my understanding of it all. Did I do an okay job for a newbie? ![]()

This happened to me a few times. But When i added IW to my trusted sites - lowered the security settings for this site - i've been able to connect fine.

Happens to me all the time, although I do blame my crappy 56k connection through AOL. Where I come from there really is no alternative to 56k, we can't get ADSL or ISDN or cable or anything like that...
