Over the last few weeks, I find myself taking offense easily, and losing my temper in discussions. I don't like the feelings that have come up while reading certain threads, and I especially dislike my reactions to them.

I wish to extend an open apology to anyone that I have upset or offended.

For many years, I have been a student of the "positive thinking" / Self-Improvement ideas. They have helped me in many situations, literally saving my life. As days progress, I will share some of these anecdotes.

In late 1998, my life changed. At the time, I vehemently claimed the change was for the worse. I let the event affect every aspect of my life, and it led to a collapse of mind, body and spirit in 2000 / 2001.

During my 8 month hiatus from IronWorks, my life took another turn. I met the love of my life, and found a companion who also is a seeker. I took a step out based on faith, and have been rewarded. At the beginning of this year, we moved to our present home, and started a new business together.

I have considered myself a Human-Becoming for many years (Since the tender age of 7, when positive thinking and spiritual growth brought me out of a 2 year physical paralysis) and became distracted in 1998.

My spiritual death has gone on long enough. I will work a miracle, of resurrection. I will rebuild myself, and pull myself from this emotional and spiritual grave that I dug for myself. In four years, I lost what decades of training had wrought, but I will get it back.

I invite you to join me.

Daily, I will be posting thoughts, ideas, and exercises. I have a huge library of resources, gathered over 25 years. I will use them, and share them with you. together, we can discuss them, and allow the truth found in them transform us.

I warn you. This will get "touchy-feely" and uncomfortable. There are times when these thoughts will effect changes, and they may upset. It will be your choice to join me, or not.

I am not looking for debate, but discussion. I am not asking for "devil-advocates", just inviting others to join in healthy discussion, about healthy subjects.

William James said, "The greatest discovery of my generation is that a human being can alter his life by altering his attitude."

This is my goal. I would change my attitude, to grow to be a better person. I will do this, one day at a time.

Day One: The 7 Day Mental Diet

This exercise is ongoing. The idea is simple, the execution is hard.

Go one week, seven days, without a negative thought. When you have a negative thought, start the week over.

The first time I did this, it took over 3 months to hit the goal. After finding many ways not to do it, I began by not saying or doing anything negative. When I was able to do that, I worked on the not thinking any thing negative.

If you see me post any thread, or reply, that can be taken negatively, PLEASE tell me. This will be the foundation of my re-birth.

Thank you for your help.
Tomorrow: Finding the Innocence in Others. See you then.

This is stuff we both work on every day. It is not easy, but what in life that is worth anything, is?

I am looking forward to the changes in our lives - that should be more obvious than here!

I am looking forward to seeing you Neb!!

I can attest to the power of positive and relaxed thinking. It helped me somewhat to change the way I thought. So I'd like to see what's going to be done with positive thinking And whether it's something that I can use myself.

I do more relaxed thinking than positive thinking, though. Take life easy Don't let the world and all of it's problems get to you
Check out madmans druggie thread

Seriously though, I reckon the easiest way to bliss is not to worry too much about the little things; relax, enjoy life and don't let things get on top of you
