Question 'bout Cernd

Hello... i was wondering, do any of you keep Cernd the druid??? if you do, can you plz tell me why... apart from the reason he has 18 wisdom... i've never used him before so is he good or just plain crappy?

Actually i always keep a druid in my party, i guess i like to have an werewolf or bear next to my chars, but in my laste few games i was keeping jaheira even tho i use her as fighting bear, i think that if i was supposed to use my druid as a fighter i should take Cernd cuz i think of him as a best fighter then Jaheira, a char that has a bad attitude, at least with my char, i cant help stop saying this, but she is always yelling at me, anyway i like Cernd much more than Jaheira i just didnt keep him in my party cuz he would give another quest to do, that one about his child and stuff.

Yeah, he's a good Druid with 18 wis, but if you just take Jaheira instead, you'll have both a Druid and a decent Fighter. Ofcourse she only has 14 wis, though.

But Cernd can be a good NPC, if you absolutely just need a Druid, but there are so many better then him.

that is what i always thought, but i just wanted to see what other people think... jahiera is a very good fighter in my opinion... when she is dual-wielding scimitiars...

Yes, I agree. She can be a real good Fighter with the right equipment. [img]smile.gif[/img]

I've never used Cernd, and probably never will. One good stat does not a party member make, even if it's an 18 WIS on a Priest. He's got the weakest AC in the game, and can't wear armor, which is the killer: Even being able to wear Leather is good enough, because the best Leather armors are as strong as Plate. Cernd can cast 5 more spells per day than Jaheira--and Jaheira's useful for the other 98% of your game day.

P.S. I notice that all the Romance characters are Priests--apparently they assumed that you'd always have 1 Priest, so that was a good class to write the Romances for. But they seem to have left out Cernd; most likely because they knew nobody'd ever bother with him, and so they decided not to waste their time.
