Light Bulb

I wonder if it really has to do with who has the most lobby money: the pharmacutical companies or the medical pot activists?

This is the same FDA that maintains pot has no medical value and the same federal gov. that maintains a policy of harrassing medical pot providers in states which have made it's use as medicine lawful.

So fake is good, but the real crap nature gives us is bad. WTF?

Synthetic marijuana returning to market

THE ASSOCIATED PRESS

WASHINGTON -- Seventeen years after it was withdrawn from U.S. markets, a synthetic version of the active ingredient in marijuana is going back on sale as a prescription treatment for the vomiting and nausea that often accompanies chemotherapy, its manufacturer said Tuesday.

It's easier for the government to make money off a product that people can't grow in their backyards. They recognise the benefits of medicinal use, but aren't willing to meet halfway...

Thats exactly what it is, and there are many natural simple cures for all types of things that drug companies don't want us to know about because they will lose money. There are many cureable things were drug companies provide a half baked solution with side effects when they know of a cure that will work permantly. So why do they just ease pain and not cure, or provide drugs with side effects, bottom line is drug companies want us sick, to make more money. Yes, they are as evil as tobacco companies if not more so. Actually they like tobacco companies because tobacco companies make them more money.

The pot thing gets me so riled up. I've seen what alcoholics and drunks can do (physical and verbal abuse, property damage, drunk driving and killing), and I've seen what high people can do (not much). It's obvious which is worse, and Sever is absolutely right- it would be legal if people couldn't just grow it themselves, but rather difficult to grow so the government could tax it. Ah well. At least we still have nonviolent protests for unjust laws, right?

If you can motivate America's pot smokers to stage a rally on a specific day without letting their attention wander to TV and junk food my hat will go off to you

I can't blame you after all the decades of propaganda.

Atlanta's and Boston's annual rallies attract tens of thousand year after year.

My expirience tells me that the vast majority of casual pot-smokers are well-educated and hard-working. No different than casual drinkers except they are willing to take additional (legal) risk for their leisure.
