Heard this just now on CBC. Sharon is said to have said something to the effect that he'll be quitting the Lukid party.

All the hell is about to be broken loose.
Deary me. Damn. That only means that our new Stalin (aka Amir Perez, the leader of Labor party. See his mustache for more explanations), will have a stronger party. I think that i will immigrate to Great Britain or to USA, or maybe to Germany. How with the employment there, folks?

He did quit. Sharon seems to think he can single-handedly broker a lasting peace deal between the Israelis and the Palestinians. Of course, I don't fault him for trying, but his efforts, however noble, are doomed to failure. When the hard-liners in Likud regain a majority power base or when some Palestinian bomber commits a world-shocking atrocity the conflict will begin anew.
How many times do I have to say it? [img]graemlins/5bloodymurder.gif[/img] There will never be a lasting peace between these two groups. The only peace will come when one group has completely wiped out the other.
