Normally I don't read the last book of the bible - Revelation - for exact details, but check out what I stumbled across:

It's easy to read into the revelations like this and project modern parallels on the predictions.. just like with Nostradumus. I predict.. you will be hungry at some point today.
Some of the points in the article IMHO are totally bogus and conjecture: "No one knows for sure all their motives, but one of the distinct posibilities is that they are building a defense against CHINA!" (speaking about Pakistan and India) No imo they have nukes to defend against each other. "Bible students have for decades suspected that the two hundred million man army would undoubtedly be from China." Could only possibly be India or China so the suspicions of the Bible students are extremely well placed.. very clever of them. ![]() China may have a military manpower capability of 200 million but to arm and prepare an army of that size would take them decades (a guess on my part) and such a military build up would not go unnoticed nor unchallenged before it got to that size. (imo) "As China's economy nosedives (as it is currently doing), and the Chinese need for oil increases (over 90 million barrels per day), China may decide that it needs to make an aggressive move into the Middle East to take oil." Chinas economy isn't nosediving. From everything i've read it's opening up to markets and is on the up and up. They do have a growing need for energy though which Three Gorges is supposed to address at least in part. "No other nation on earth could accomplish that feat. The link between China’s soldiers and the powers from the Euphrates region poses an interesting subject for speculation." And that's exactly what the article is: Speculation. but it is interesting. Now have you ever read Chung Kuo? [ 01-23-2003, 03:39 PM: Message edited by: Djinn Raffo ] |

It's a seven or eight book long series by a British author named David Wingrove.
In it China conquers the earth around this time in history (present day give or take a few years). but the book is set 200 years from now and in that time the Chinese leaders have rewritten history so that all books and forms of information state that China actually conquered the Earth during the time of the Romans. Everyone on the planet pretty much believes that thats the way it has always been. It's a very wild and fantastic series i enjoyed immensely. |

In the next few years it is expected that the new economic powers in the world will be North Korea and China. The US economy is nose diving and no war is going to help it. Hate to be picky, but Im pretty sure the word "Million" isn't even in the original language, I dislike reading the last book and trying to find modern equivelents when they text has been translated and molded by those very same modern day equivelents.
