In some newspapers you don't have to pay for advertisements like when you're selling a car, etc. So she could've put it there for free.

I would have thought you would get more for a kidney, and that would be less noticible. Anyway how would someone see an ad in a paper and go "...hmm and eye... brown... yes that'll do nicely..." i mean how does that work? are eyes really that sellable?

The Prime Minister of Bangladesh has sorted her out, no doubt after the publicity. Story here.

And SirD:

She applied to many jobs in factories etc but nobody would employ her because of her baby.

She then tried begging but no-one would give her money because they said she was young and could work.

A vicious circle...but perhaps you would argue she can always kill the baby to get employment? [img]tongue.gif[/img]

The real tragedy is of course the hundreds of thousands like her in Bangladesh that don't get international attention...

Is selling an eye more preferable then selling her 'ass'? Why would that not be an option?

Poverty in Bangladesh is as bad as it can get, but it is no use having bleeding hearts over an individual. We have to change the system, there is food and money and means to spare, ..... only the will is lacking.
