I wouldn't lose too much sleep over it It doesn't look like the most responsible website in the world, and linking it to the Sudetenland reveals it for the alarmist claptrap it is.

If proposition 200 is overturned because of Mexican pressure in an international institution within the next 50 years I'll eat my hat

Question Mark

I wouldn't worry about this issue...and I live in the Southwest.

Although it is a shame that we spend tax dollars to offer various forms of support for illegal aliens--call it what it is, Vincente--it is more costly not to do so. Did I just say that?
Illegal aliens perform jobs in the economy that normal American citizens will not do; those jobs are just as essential as any others for the society and economy to function normally. If those workers disappear, a black hole would open up in the economy and jobs that previously paid minimum wage (or less) would have to offer more pay to intice workers to fill the positions. Those employers would quickly go bankrupt, etc.

The worst part of this whole issue are the coyotes who smuggle people across the border. They take all the money those people have in the world and then endanger their lives; they treat people who are simply trying to find a better economic situation worse than dogs.

Yeah, its a terrible trade We have a growing problem with human trafficking in the UK and the conditions some of those illegal workers have to endure is almost inhuman

The shame is supporting illegals with health care, Food Stamps, and monetary benefits for being illegals while denying our own poor working citizens the same privileges for making two dollars too much per month to qualify.

"Normal" American citizens will work for minimum wage and will work in the fields in order to have a job. Employers would not go bankrupt by paying minimum wage. They would just make less of a profit.

(97% of the "coyotes" are Mexican nationals themselves.)

Prop 200 was fought down in CA so there is a chance that it will be overturned in AZ as well. After all, "Mexican drug money" (American dollars) can pay for some pretty high priced lawyers on this side of the border.

I agree, which is why I couldn't believe that I said what I said about not supporting illegals to some degree being more costly than supporting them. There are many, many economically disadvantaged poor American citizens who could benefit from the support going to illegal aliens, but they "make too much" as you state.

You're probably right; employers would simply make less of a profit. Unfortunately, the overly greedy shareholders of that company will engage in groupthink and vote for whatever corporate policies will give them a larger dividend. Too few people have the long-term vision needed to create a truly healty economy.

About every month or so, they'll find a truck-load of illegals being smuggled across the border here in Texas. When they are lucky, they'll find a majority of them alive; other times, they find a truck filled with corpses. *sigh*

Not to mention less paperwork by hiring illegals (Social security also takes a bite). Hiring illegals is an easy out for greedy people on a lot of levels and should be more harshly punished. Our country's economy could benefit from Americans being able to make their living and would also keep the cash flow within our borders by the spending in America that could occur.

AZ is no different than Texas for smuggling with the exception that more come through here lol. We've had a string of pick-up truck accidents since Oct. that have hurt and killed many illegals as well as AZ residents from smugglers trying to get people farther north. Seems to me a pick-up truck loaded with as many as 17 people in an open truck bed would be obvious enough to patroling officers in such a way that they could come up with a process for surrounding and stopping the vehicle that doesn't involve high speed chases that end in injuries and death.

There are chemical sprays of a sufficiently sticky nature to prevent even a tank from being able to move; surely those could be used to stop a truck while minimizing lethal risk. The array of non-lethal technology is more advanced than most people realize.
