Wow, even she thinks the military and media may have exagerated, over-hyped and mis-represented her ordeal and subsequent rescue.

I can appreciate her honesty in stated what did happen with her involvement. It would be very easy for her to say that she was the hero the media and military made her out to be. But, she came out and told the truth and was humble in her responses. In my mind, she is a hero just for remaining true to herself in a situation where many others would not have been so truthful.

It's good to see her say that to me.
I would like to see her not sell any stories.. i would like to see her say FU media, forget about me and start reporting on the lives of all the KIA's. Let's hear the stories of the ones who didn't make it. |

at the time it happened, there were a number of stories saying there were inaccuracies in the pentagon's account of what happened. i share maelakin's sentiment in taking pride in her honesty.
the US govt has no shame when it comes to lies and propaganda to help whatever cause they want the american people to back up. the fictional account of pvt lynch's experiences only denigrates real KIAs and POWs. |

Interesting followup story - fascinating to me, statistically speaking.

It was so obvious that this entire story was spun completely out of control from the moment it began. Did an out-of-work Hollywood screenwriter script this, or what?
![]() Were I she, I would be extremely nervous to the point of being paranoid. I'll be surprised if she lives through the next 6 months.
