Interesting. I saw it advertised but forgot it was tonight. Well, it would have lost out to Las Vegas and CSI Miami anyway. *shrug*

Thanks for the link GForce. It will be interesting to see where it goes with the religious community.

I watched it. It was interesting, but in my mind not earth shattering or anything. I was much like the theology teacher at Notre Dame (Father Something or Another). Wouldn't surprise me if he were married, but I've yet to see proof. I didn't really buy the part about the child though. I thought that was reaching a bit. I do believe that Mary had a much larger roll in his following than is portreyed in the Bible. Don't forget that the official bible was agreed upon by the Catholic Church in Fourth Century. All the rest of the books that were considered but not included were ordered destroyed. I always wonder what was in them. Here is a LINK to the Gnostic Library and the Nag Hammadi Scrolls which were mentioned last night (though only briefly).

Now that I have seen it, I'm a believer that Mary and Jesus had a very intimate and special relationship, thought not sure of the marriage bit. Which IMO doesn't really matter. Wished the show discussed and was more focused on the relationship and Mary's mystic instead of trying to answer whether they were married. Don't get me wrong, the show did discuss some things about Mary. Fascinating woman if they went further. Seems the church back then were jealous of Mary and tried to discredit her. Now that Mary is seen more as an important figure, will the modern church give her (and women) their due apologies and credits. BTW I'm not a religious person, just curious for some reason about Mary and the events surrounding Jesus. There's something about Mary. I once had a dream as a child and I still remember it. It's like an earworm persay. In this dream I am a man and I was questioned (and maybe whipped) by Roman soldiers. They are questioning my support for Jesus or something like that.

To bad we can't send a CSI team back in time and figure it all out.

You never know. That just might be in a future offbeat CSI episode. Great show but they sure take EVERYTHING apart.
