Consider yourself warned: This sucker is HARD. It's designed to separate the wheat from the chaff. Me, I'd probably be somewhere in the upper chaff. Even the heavy hitters like Memnoch and Dundee are gonna be scratching their heads over some of these. I tried to find questions that were fun, varied, and impossible to answer by scrolling through a walkthrough. I even included a trick question.

This quiz is for SoA only, although those of you who also have ToB
get 1 bonus question, just for kicks.

The answers are in the mail, and yes section 2 was very tough. How does anyone remember stuff like this without taking notes when playing (now that might be a good idea).

Don't worry about your D&D Lore, Dundee....I only asked questions about stuff that appears in the game itself (well, apart from the ToB question and the 3 gods from BG1). I had little choice, as my only other Forgotten Realms knowledge stems from my reading the 'Dragons of Spring Dawning,' or whatever it was, series about, oh, eight years ago.

I agree, the "Where's Waldo" section is the worst. I just like it when the programmers toss little Easter Eggs in there, and I like them to be pointed out and recognized. [img]smile.gif[/img]

I'm pleased that some of you are coming through with flying colors on what I thought were the more difficult questions. Muf and Dundee both got #14 right, and Dundee and Wedin also saw through the trick question. Way to go! Everybody's gotten #16 correct so far (the Gnome question), but no one seems to be sure where the Anvil of the Right is. I'll have Wedin's and Dundee's graded when I come on again later this evening.

P.S. Oh, yeah: Yes, you DO get bonus points by going 'beyond the call of duty' on some of the questions, such as #23, when I ask you to name items that Cromwell can make while in Chapter 3. I asked for 3, but there are at least 4. And if anyone names all 5 of the Drow I mentioned in Question 4.....you frighten me.

In fact, I believe getting bonus points (and the extra credit question) is the only way to reach the rank of Overfather (which is as it should be).

Except that Wedin is actually a Sarevok, because he got #29 right, and Muf says: "-10 points to anyone who uses Minsc to cast spells in a situation where he can get disrupted, instead of just letting him tank." (j/k, of course.)

Don't worry about not getting an "A" on this quiz, it's designed so that only those who truly know this game inside and out deserve the rank of Bhaal. I don't think anyone's even going to attain the rating of Abazigal--I know I wouldn't.

Keep 'em coming, folks! This is fun. Hey, remember those trolls we had a few weeks ago, who were sure they were such hot sh*t and we were a bunch of fools because we didn't know how to obtain the "KILLSW01" in Chapter 1? Yeah, them. I wonder how they'd do on this little questionnaire?

Tom, I recieved your Private Message, but all that was in it were the questions, no answers at all! Please repost?

Next in battery comes Sir Goulum, with 24 points and the rating of Viekang, one of our few siblings whose company we actually enjoy. (Sir Goulum, what may have hurt you here is that you didn't answer all the questions. Remember, it's just straight points, no penalty for guessing.)

Micah, I can't finish scoring yours yet, because I'll have to go home and check one of the places/situations you said you found a Drow. But I do know you're going to have a very high score, especially because you got every single one of the Gods right, even the really obscure ones like the Hearthkeeper and the Lord of Slime! So, are you really well-versed on the D&D pantheon, or just lucky?
