Coin Collectors

I was just wondering as to whether there are any coin collectors on the IW.

Although I'm not an avid coin collector, when my grandad passed away, he left me his coin collection. Since then, I have added to it whatever coins I can find, boasting some quite nice ones (even though I dnt know whether they are valuable or not).

I have coins from around the world, many English collectable special edition ones, US coins, Italian, French, Turkish, Japanese, Irish, Isle Of Man......many many more countries.

I think my best coin is an Ol' English Penny from 1872.

I was just wondering if anyone else collected coins.:S

Well, I dont collect them, but I have two very old from the roman-times.

Hmm, I have one with the emperor Marcus Aurelius on it, and one with the emperor Marcus Maximillian.

What year are they from, do you have any idea?

I have all Dutch Coins since Juliana
i also have a lot of worthless coin money from all over europe
if you need some you can ask and I'll see if i have it [img]smile.gif[/img]

Ah, well as I have never been to Holland, I have no dutch coins. I only have coins from were I have been. So, thats all of them.

Visit the netherlands soon so you can have the dutch coins before everything becomes euro

Hmm, Aurelius was emperor between 161 and 180, so that one was around that time, and if you hang on a sec I'll check when Maximillian was emperor.

Well, it doesnt say when he was emperor, only that he was one of the first roman emperors.

The coins was purchased from the biggest coin-"store" in Oslo.
