Incredible. Can't believe I hadn't seen it before.
One of the heaviest films I've seen. Incredible. The music is perfect, incredibly atmospheric. The filtered lighting to differentiate the nations/states was a stroke of genius. The acting superb, the long shots on characters faces, with no dialogue - just pure emotion - carries so much and allows you to put yourself in their shoes. Very arty, thought provoking and educating of another world. A hellish existance of stress, pain, addiction and horrific consequences. Amazing, astounding, incredible. I will see it again. ------------------ I am the walrus!.... er, no hang on.... ![]() A fair dinkum laughing Hyena! |

Ya know the scene, the new drig czar attends a drink-n-schmooze function and meets a bunch of politicians and politico's, well thos weren't extras, and the scene was loosley scritped at best. Real senators and such, adlibed answers to policy questioned posed to them by the Micheal Douglas. If you have the DVD, the extra features contain alot of inside stuff. I plan on watching it again, because I own it!
I found that movie to be an accurate look at the futility of the drug war, posed in a very creative and captivating way. I love it! (free advertising) "Buy the DVD!" [This message has been edited by G'kar (edited 10-12-2001).] |
