Ok, what's the deal with determing what you can hit with a bow, i mean, let's say you have
Spoiler - - - - - - - -- The ripper+2, and you shoot arrows +2, does that mean that you are shooting with a +4 weapon or is it still +2? And also i have a nice bow(it's from TDD), it's +4 and still it sometimes says, weapon ineffective, and i'm not talking about killing clay golems, becuz i know that one already

You get +2 to-hit from the arrow, and +2 to-hit from the bow, so you get a total of +4 bonus to hit.
However, the actual weapon hitting your foe is a mere +2 arrow. So, you have +4 to hit, but only hit as a +2 weapon. Otherwise, you could dispatch vampires with normal arrows and a nice bow, and that would be wrong. BUT! There are bows which provide their own ammo, and the ammo of those bows hits as a weapon of the same power as the bow's bonus. In other words, the Gessen Bow +4 shoots arrows which are +0 to-hit, but hit as +4 weapons. Likewise, the very nice shortbow called "Tasheron's Bow" provides unlimited phantom arrows, each of which strikes as a +3 weapon. -- Nifft |

The bonus to hit on Bow is just that. I bonus to hit, it does not allow you to hit monsters immune to normal weapons unless it say so in the description.
So, If you use a +5 bow to shoot regular arrows, you won't be able to hit monsters with immunities. If you use a regular bow with +4 arows you will be able to hit almost everything.

+4 arrows, no. But ToB brings you Arrows+3, Bolts+3, and Bullets+3 and +4. ToB also has the Firetooth crossbow+4, which doesn't need ammo and I think counts as a +4 weapon without bolts.

The Firetooth is actually a +4 Crossbow that shoots unlimited +2 Fire Bolts, which do a little extra fire damage. Thus, it cannot hit Iron or Adamantite Golems unless you also equip +3 bolts with it. It does have the advantage at that point of having +4 to hit with bow, +2 to hit with phantom fire bolts, and +3 to hit with bolts+3, making a comfortable +9 to hit before dex bonus. and it's a light crossbow, too. nice.
