?? about WinZip...What to do when trial time is up???(and don't wanna pay)

I have had the free trial of Winzip for 10 used days longer than legally allowed. They want $25.00!! That is a bit much. What should I do? Does the program have a homing device that contacts its home office with the info. that I have expired and now using the stuff illigally, and then the Men in Black will come get me, and take me to prison, and I will not be able to send carrier pigeons because Rikard's damn fish has eaten them all, and then I meet this guy in my cell called Bubba-Jo, that thinks that I am as cute as his last Bi#!!!h that he has just ate for dinner, and then I can never post anymore on this board because mari-cons are not banned, and I never get to play Throne of Bhaal, and never ....well...you get what I mean,,,right...

You ought to get Explorer. It works much better than WinZip. The one I downloaded didn't have an expiration date. Other than that, not sure. I don't remember having any problems with WinZip except that it kept putting ads up. Which version did you get? I thought they got rid of the crippleware. I used WinZip for like 2 years before downloading the Explorer version. They have it as a part of Windows ME now, so when I got the Laptop, I didn't have to download anything.

The eighth version - I dunno.

But I've been using the "evaluation" version of Winzip 7 for a couple of weeks more than the usual expiry date.

Then I registered it afterwards, but there you go

PS Larry: I think that Winzip is the most aggravating zip program if you decide not to register it: far better off with commerical and free downloads.
