This game reminds me so much of Star Trek:Birth of Federation. Anybody else is playing this game?

Yes, it's a very addicting game. Can't seem to stop playing till wee hours.

I've got a question. I notice Earth have 19,400m population. I've created several colony ships and brought down the population to 13,400m. However, after many turns later. The population still will not rise to it's previous stat. Is this a bug or have I done something wrong?

This game rules. Alot. Civ IV can hide it's head in shame.
As for the population, certain buildings and ships will halt world population growth. Such as the colony ship, invasion ship, wonders etc. That's why I love making 6x2000 invader ships and pick up the disillusioned to colonize(forcively) new worlds.

That's the problem, I can't colonize new worlds because the population will not grow back to it's previous stat. I swear this is a bug!

love the game. finished the campaign and very interested in the expansion.

approval could hurt your population growth. other than that, could be a bug. Did you try again in a new game?

Earth

Population 13.900b
Approval 100%
Extreme Stadium
Technological Capital
Extreme Stadium
Cultural Exchange Center
Research Academy
Research Academy
Banking Center
Enchanced Factory
Starport
Xeno Farming

The thing is this, I've been building colony ships and has send my citizen to colonize other worlds without any problem. The population will still continue to grow. Then after a while I stopped and let the population grow up until 19.400b.

After it reach that figure, I started to build colony ships again and sent my citizen to colonize other worlds. This time the population WILL NOT grow back and now it stuck to 13.900b.

What is going on here?

If the planet has stopped building colony ships, construction vessels and invasion ships, isn't build a wonder, a superbuilding or a capitol, then this is a bug.

Isnt there a random event that prevents population growth? Maybe that is in effect. I would hit the official forums if that keeps up.

I love this game! I just noticed a new update this week. It keeps evolving and the challenge stays great.
