I merged with Helios. He had more potential to do what's best for the earth than Illuminati, and the dark age would have caused quite a lot of death and destruction.

Merging with Helios is IMHO the most positive ending. Plus, it has the feel of a sacrifice

The dark age. It just felt right to my first interpretation of the JC character and how I played him. The moral ambiguities of the game world just seem to implode upon JC's consciousness and reverting a world back to a shadow of its former self seemed kind of apt.

I don't think it necessarily follows that a dictatorial AI would cause less net pain/death/destruction, when its quite probable that humanity would rebel against any kind of iron hand rule that is non-democratic and that logically, Helios would do what it could to keep power. Mind you, this was the second most attractive scenario to me - handing power to the Iluminati being the least desirable.

Cerebro: The humanity had lived under a non-democratic iron hand for quite a while. Illuminati, Majestic XII, and so on. And the gray death, Bob's main world conquering scheme is still around. I don't think Helios and I have to work very hard to gain the trust of the people.

I think I merged with Helios on my first try, but I don't know if I would call that a "positive" ending. We know nothing about Helios except his will to become a god.

I made an archive save and did all three. Not sure which one i like best. Not one of them represents a sense of resolution without considerable loss.

I liked Tong - his ending made the most sense to me. So I picked that.

Living in villages is all good if it's a small village, but what about big ones? Where are the people of very big cities going to get food?
