http://www.totalwar.com/community/medieval2.htm

It's not going to be released any time sooner than at the end of 2006 i'm afraid, but this is definitely something to look forward to.

I have yet to manage to play Rome: Total War without the cursor lag. It make the game unplayable. And then there is the game itself. My governors were getting vices every turns, that was ridicullous. I had to edit the game to remove the effect of the vices, otherwise my generals lost all their stats. Medieval Total War is one of my favorite game, but I've lost faith in the company.

In other news my mod has been downloaded more than 60k times, as far as I know.

I also just realised I made typos in the readme of my mod.

What does your mod include ? New skins and stuff ? I've seen some of the projects they are currently working on, like Imperialism TW, covering all European wars during the age of imperialism, and in addition the American civil war. It's not finished yet, but it won't be long anymore.

No, my mod was created in the couple of weeks after the game came out, I stoped caring about that game not long after since I couldn't play it. I was invited to the Total Realism mod team, but I didn't join, for the reason I mentioned before.

It made all factions playeable, add leader portraits to all the factions (only some of the official ones had one), and descriptions for the new factions, as well as maps for them.

Can't wait for MTW2. I thought they kinda dumbed down the series in RTW, even if naval combat was made insanely easier, as was transportation. I still miss burning heretics and blowing the crap out of peasant armies with canons

Well, I've reinstalled RTW after uninstalling it for a while and I can't seem to install the 1.3 patch (which I need to install before the 1.5 patch). When I run the .exe file it comes up with a "Setup has encountered an error" message with the number 6001 at the bottom. Any clues what this means?

A bad case of thread hijacking?

What are you looking forward to the most in this new RTW?

I still only use the 1.2 patch, which works good enough for me. Maybe you should try the same, after all, what does it matter as long as the game runs, no ? Or you should abandon RTW altogether, and go with the RTR modification, which is much more challenging anyway. Just a thought.

About your error, could it be that you didn't completely uninstall all components of your harddrive ? I know for a fact that you manually have to delete a few.
Geez this is such a load of bollocks eh. I've already installed and uninstalled this thing about 5 times because half the time the installation doesn't work. I didn't want to install 1.2 because they say to get 1.3 and 1.5 you have to uninstall EVERYTHING. But if 1.2 works for you I'll give it a go.

1.2 is the one that's also required if you want to go with the RTR 7.0 mod, so i guess that's the reason why i'm still using it.
