hmm, maybe thats a good thing. i have never before went to that battle without drizzt, but he always steals all the exp. i even had to reload a couple of times before i could do the killing blow on bodhi myself. Vampires are very rewarding creatures and easy also, once you know how to kill em.. try without drizzt. i know its gonna be really difficult(battling +6 vamps at once) but it will spice things up a bit if its too difficult, lower your difficulty setting. if its still too difficult, sorry for the bad advice

BTW, at what level can a cleric kill vamps with "turn undead"?

not good killing drizzt youll lose all your good aligned npc's and if you got a high enough pladin char wether it be you or keldorn you got the all powereful turn undead ability. i dont ask for drizzt's help beating the vamps because the bastards always kill the good vamps and you never get the kill credit for it which means no experience. pretty much a lvl 24-25 turn undead kills any and all vamps, fun to watch them explode. that and if your worried about taking to long and drizzt wont show up just remeber that helm morningnights talos or radiant heart you could all ask for extra help as well if you need it, long as you did the quests ie: destroy cult of eyeless helm will help get dawnring back morning nights help kill fallin paladins radiants help, but really if you got a paladin with a good turn undead you will beat the whole vamp section there in 2 minutes flat. 5 minutes if you dont run as a undead hunter kit(subject to lvl drain)

There is no time limit. He ALWAYS appears, both initially on the way back to Athkatla, and also in the tomb.

You mustn't forget the Shadow Thieves too, thiefprowess, and their supposed special assassins that you can talk Aran into giving you.
