id have to rate this game as one of the worst games ive ever bought. i bought it today on the strength of reviews saying its great, but its boring as hell. seriously you spend the whole time performing fetch and carry tasks for a group of like 5 animals, in order to get some money to pay off your mortgage. seriously, what kind of waste of time is that? the whole point of the game is to get items to furnish your room, but that was like a subquest in pokemon, and one i coulnt be bothered with at that.
steer clear of this game, if stabbing yourself in the eye is not your idea of fun. [ 09-29-2004, 02:27 PM: Message edited by: Zero Alpha ]

Did you actually read the reviews, or did you just go by the numbers. The ratings are probaly fair for the type of game it is.
http://www.gamespot.com/gamecube/rpg...imal+Crossing+ Seems more like a family game or something that you would play with your kids. Personally after reading the review I would not buy this game even if they gave it a 10. Now if I had young kids like ages 6 to 13 I might consider it and even play it with them but I don't so The Sims would be better value for my money. most of the reviews i read made it sound more like the jobs were quests, not just fetch and carry from one square to another.
seriously, i cant understand people who like this game. might as well have got the sims. edit: rottentomatoes 97% avg over 37 reviews. http://www.rottentomatoes.com/g/game...imal_crossing/ themissingreview said this game is boring beyond beleif. dont buy it. (nb, that was a joke) [ 09-29-2004, 09:19 PM: Message edited by: Zero Alpha ]

Some people like different games ( I always say different people got different taste ). Next when reading reviews, read the reviews that gives it a low rating too. in that way you can know why some people don't like the game. thus giving you an option whether or not to buy the game.
