FF7 - Ruby Weapon

Well I was just wondering, as everyone in this forum seems to be playing or have played FF7, if anyone killed Ruby Weapon? (The big red thing in the sand near the theme park), I never managed it, though I did defeat Emerald Weapon(The thing swimming around under water).

Is that the one that blocks you from running with its tentacles?
If I remember correctly, you can only kill its tentacle to escape, its been a while, I do remember a monster that couldnt be beaten in the game but I dont think this was it.

Super easy...However you'll need to do a few things before hand.

- You'll need a mastered command counter materia paired together with Mime
- Knights of the Round paired with HP Absorb
- W Summon Materia
- mastered speed plus materia
- Ribbon
- Your hp should be 9999 so that you won't die in one hit.

Before you start the fight, kill off your other two party members. When you start the fight, simply cast Knights of the Round on Ruby ( or use the w summon ). Now go do something else like sleep or watch tv. when you come back Ruby will be dead. easy as pie.

There are less cheesey ways of beating Ruby weapon, but he's one tough customer!
