Am making mistakes!

Mistake #1

I don't know but my ranger couldn't cast spells or charm or summon monsters. Am i doing something wrong with Minsc? He also attacks my party when in berserk mode.

Mistake #2

The acorns from Chapter 1. where do I give it? Dryads asked me to give to someone but havent found who that someone is. Im already in chapter 2. Ive also finished getting sword from t he genie. Only the acorn remains

mistake #3

Yoshimo leveled dual classed to fighter. Ughhhh bad mistake. Also my fighter are really puny. I havent got a decent armor for it. How do I use fighter to best ability?

I also got a broken sword. I dont know if its a relic or what but Ive been hangin on to it. I dont know if I should throw away d acorns and the broken s word.

All Help appreciated! I've just killed slayers and am on my way to Nalias keep.

Mistake #1: cant help ya there, i dont have minsc cast spells or go beserk, find i dont really need to

Mistake#2: The acorns you get from the dryads eh? go to the copper cornet in the slums and find a guy named Lord Firkragg or something like that. talk to him and he'll update ur world map, putting windspear hills on it. go there and in the south east area youll find the dryad queen or whoever.

Mistake#3:i dont know what ur yoshimo prob is, i dualed him to a fighter and it worked out great! the closest to a fighter i play is a fighter mage...so i alsways were elven chain...what armour r u using now? theres lots of plaes or people to kill to get good armour. EG:the plate of balduran, awesome! its in the bridge district, in a building near the east side, u have to kill some people to get it, but theyre not too tuff

Mistake#4: im not sure about the broken sword, it might be part of the equalizer...im not sure. whered u find it? Jaheria is a good fighter, so dont restrict her to healing. note: clerics dont memorize spells, only mages. clerics gain spells as they gain exp.

1.)Minsc (being a ranger) can cast priest spells WHEN he levels up. until then his special abilities have a charm person/animal thing that enemys can make saveing rolls agianst. If they get a good # on the roll you dont charm them but if the # sucks then you do. Minsc when he goes beserk gets all the benifits so on and so forth... but sometimes you lose controll over him for a small time.

2.)The acorns go to the dryad in the windspear hills. A area far to the east. The only way you can get there is accepting the fierkrag quest.

3.)Yes yoshimo should have stayed the same as he was but hey thats okay. your fighter will get better armor from enemies he vanqueshes and powerful swords by special quests. Equip him w/these and go forth on righteous butt-kicking

4.)AS FAR AS I KNOW you can drop the broken-sword. I do not believe it does anything.

5.)Jaheira is a druid and she gains spells as she levels up. she dosent learn them. the best thing for her are the gaultlents of orge power you pick up later and belm +2 that u also find later.

My fighter & mages dont have any armour. My fighter I think has studded leather or something. What armor is appropriate for the fighter? Also I dont even know how to use kai. Ive been clicking on it and I dont think its effective?

I think a lot of my problems stem from the fact that Im not using the characters properly. Jaheira can shapechange into a bear & im still wondering what that is for. Cute bear though but pretty useless?

really like aerie but her hitpoints are too low. What armor is appropriate for her?

Im really confused. Diablo was much easier

Well it seems you MIGHT have some bugz... im not exactly surebut if you are trying to use KAI i would expect that you have a Kensai.. which means he CANT wear ANY armour.... for minsc and jaheira Full Plate mail is USUALLY the best... though of course heavily enchanted chain mail can be better than normal Plate.... but in order from best to worst armour for them is(not including magical enchantments):
1st: Full Plate Mail
2nd: Plate Mail
3rd: Splint Mail
4th: Chain Mail
5th: Studded Leather Armour
6th: Leather Armour
7th: Nothing

Aerie could be a problem for you as she can't cast mage spells when she is wearing armour. One of the things that might help you with this game is to set your Auto-stop to pause the action at the end of each round. This will give you a chance to give commands to each character for that round until you get used to the combat system. Don't be afraid to have a character run away, if my mages are anywhere near melee they get behind someone first and then cast spells.

Don't put armor on Aerie. You should give her mage robes, bracers and ring/cloak of protection. She should never melee. Let her use a sling and spells. Put the best armor you can get on Minsc and Jaheira and let them melee with the monsters while Aerie stands well behind them casting spells like Magic Missile and Acid Arrow.

Yes I forgot. What I have is a katana & another sword on his shield hand. I r ead somewhere that I should max proficiencies on katana which I did. Any idea where I should put succeeding proficiencies?

What is the kai ability for. How do I use it?
