Apparently this game just went gold....

It actually looks kind of cool.

http://www.greyhawkgame.com/

Based on D&D, uses modified Arcanum engine, 30-60 hours of play.

The only thing that could possibly be a bad thing is the short dev cycle they had for the game. IMO that usually means it will be full of bugs. Hmmmm do you think it could be as good as BG? if not IWD?

What do others make of this game?

I think greyhawk is gonna be a really good rpg game. Not like lionheart! Let's do not expect a huge great rpg game like baldur's gate, but get ready for a good rpg game (better than iwd I hope)

One of the things that I like about it is that the game changes depending on your alignment, and your actions throughout the game have a big effect on the ending. In other words, evil guys will not be presented with the same kinds of quests as the good guys. I like that a lot!

Definitely looking forward to this one. I really look forward to a good alignment roleplaying game, and the folks at Troika are very good at what they do (Fallout and Arcanum.) Definitely on my watch list.

I've read somewhere that the requirements will be rather high, though how high... no idea. I'll look into it.

From Gamebanshee; GB: What are you shooting for in terms of recommended system requirements for the game?

Tim: Our min spec is a 700 Mhz processor, with 128 Meg of RAM and a 2nd generation 3D video card, running DirectX 8.1. We don't have a recommend spec yet, but the two biggest factors that improve performance are video cards with high fill rates and CPU's with lots of on-chip cache.
