I have just bought and begun to play Zelda: The Wind Waker. I was wondering, though, if anyone could tell me how all the different Zelda games stories fit together, or if there was some kind time line to show what order they happened in because at the moment I'm finding it hard to fit them all together. Also, a brief description of the story of some them. Well most of them. I...I have yet to finish even one Zelda game. There, I've said it! You have to help me now I've made a fool of myself.

The Zelda stories are not related. It's always the "same" story told in a different way.

I've always had a soft spot for old style console RPGs. Coincidentally, I've ust fired up my ZSNES emulator for a bit of Seiken Densetsu 3 (aka Secret of Mana 2 c/w English translation) nostalgic fun.

I just finished Chrono Trigger on ZSNES! It kinda reminded me of Ocarina of Time the way you have to go back and forwards in time to solve some puzzles. I'm playing Final Fantasy 5 at the moment.

I like that order, though it needs to be updated when thinking about TWW. Spoilers

I TWW, Hyrule is flooded and covered with tons of water, and the adventure takes place on the islands above it. So it'll come fairly late, atleast after Link to the Past.

My personal theory was that the Wind Waker came afer OoT and MM, what with all the hero of time business, and the Deku tree and so on.

It's all becoming a bit clearer now that I've [SPOILER] killed that damn giant bird, and had that plot expostition cutscene in Hyrule castle basement.
