I'm looking to buy a 3D RPG, but I'm not sure what to get. I want something with plenty of detail (character-wise, I like to see their armor and whatnot), and LOTS of customization and personalization. I want to be able to create an entire party and choose class, race, etc. is there a good game out there? LIke, I want the customization of Baldur's Gate 2, but 3D.

Wow that sounds like a good game! I've been looking for the same thing myself, but unfortunately I don't think it exists yet
![]() Edit: I guess Neverwinter Nights is a good 3D RPG, but it doesn't have the party element that BG had. You can only have one NPC in your group at a time, and you can't custimize him/her at all. [ 11-12-2002, 01:00 AM: Message edited by: Darkman ]

Or you can try the newest hit, Arx Fatalis. Be forewarned though! You'll need a video card with more than 2mb of memory

The only game I can think of with both a party (up to 8) and (awesome) 3D is Dungeon Siege.
Morrowind+Tribunal, Neverwinter Nights and Arx Fatalis are great 3D RPGs but there are no party creation in them. Icewind Fale 2 has a party but is 2D. Oh how could I forget Wizardry 8, party of 6 + 2 NPCs, huge selection of races and professions and 3D (but below the average sat by the 3D games above) |

Well if your looking for an amazing RPG, easily on of the best is Zelda:Ocarina Of Time.
Im playing this through for a second time now after having dished it out from under my bed for the 1st time in many years. Im finding it once again to be great, the grpahics arent too bad, in some places they are positivley amazing! If you havent played this then I most definatly reccomend it! Also Zelda:Majoras Mask is great. All for the N64 ![]()

If you are not too bothered by cutting edge 3D, you could try Darkstone. It is very customisable (you can make your own skins).
The only drawback is that you can only control yourself and one other, so large party RPGing is not possible and it is not based on traditional races so no elf/dwarf/human choices ![]()

Wizardry 8 is sweet, I played that for like 15 min. (NOT including the hour and a half it took to create my party. I love that game, it's a classic, and I think I might get that! I destroyed the Zelda games (ALL of them) but I liked them alot. I'm kinda growing into the more "mature" land of computer D&D type RPGs, true RPGs. I hear Morrowwind is good, so I think I'll check that out. thanks
