Divine Divinity Discusion

Since a few of us are playing Divine Divinity I thought I'd start a discussion topic on the game. I'm enjoying the game a lot although I'm not far into it and thought this would be a good idea for tips and questions.
I just started playing a couple days ago so not sure if I have any decent tips yet but I hope someone who is further along can pass along something which may screw us up? [img]smile.gif[/img]

LoA, I haven't gotten the game -- yet. So I can't help you with gameplay. My question to you is, can you see the need in the future for Ziroc and Company to set up a Divine Divinity Forum? It seems many people are slowly but surely purchasing the game.

Hi Albromor, there are a few of us playing it. I bought it on the recomendation of Sazerac and am enjoying it. Whether it becomes a separate forum is up to us [img]smile.gif[/img] Depends on how many like it! Give it a shot man!

I finished the game yesterday.

I don't want to spoil you too much.

Though I think I can give you some advices, mainly appliable if you are playing a melee warrior:

* Do not put anything in intelligence. Go for a 2/2/1/0 ratio. (I ended up with 1,000 mana points with 10 in intelligence)

* These skills are must have: Either Axe or Sword mastery. The Freeze spell. Repair (one rank only). The skill that does extra spirit damage. The skill that increases armor. Some knowledge in lockpick. And most and foremost: Enchant Weapon!

* These skills are nice to have: Bless. Restoration. Magic and melee shield (one rank only). The skill that does instakills. Alchemy. Identify. Meteorstrike (exellent damage to mana cost ratio).

* These skills suck: The skills that do extra fire and lightning damage, the skills that reflects melee and missile damage. Elf sight. All the summoning spells, trap initiative skill, the skill that allows to see invisible enemies. Mace, spear,... passive masteries since the best weapons in the game are Axes and Swords.

Those are the skill I remember

There has been some discussion about this, but right now Ziroc is busy renaming everything on the website for the Escape name change. He'll probably do it once he is done with that.

I defenitely will buy this game, it sounds great. The reviews i read were also good.

It's not a MMORPG. It's a regular rpg.
