I'm trying to play through Fallout 1. For some reason it always locks up. I've tried on three comps. On the first two it got frozen on the "Please Wait" screen with the guy in the indian headdress. On the other it froze on a black screen.

I've downloaded the most recent patch, and the best comp I've tried it on eats the system requirements for lunch. Help!

If you tried the game on several machines with the latest patch, then it sounds like the savegame is corrupt,...

I dont think it has anything to do with the savegame being corrupt its probably the actual game. Did you buy this game new?

I bought this game new, and it is a new game. As for their configs

All are on networks Win98SE

#1:Athlon XP 2000+, 512 MB DDRRAM, GeForce 4 Ti4200
#2entium III 700, 256 MB SDRAM, GeForce 2 Pro GTS
#3entium II 500, 256 MB SDRAM, Voodoo 5

I should mention that I previously successfully installed it on #2 and beat the game with it, then it got uninstalled when we reformatted the drives for the NW.
