I've played all of them. Though I've never played QFG 1 or 2 much farther than the first couple of screens.

I've completed QFG 3, 4 & 5, though.

I love how they blend the adventure part of the Quest games with sometimes fast-paced action and RP'ing

I played the new version of number 1, as much as I hate the old adventure games from Sierra (Larry anyone... ) this one was quiet good.

I played the first four. My save game is on a ZIP disk somewhere, and I bought the 5th in the middle of my EQ addiction, so I've never cracked it open. They were all very entertaining, and not too complicated. I got a kick out of the waffle sacrificing itself for my eating pleasure when out of food whilst crossing the desert in 4.

Whats wrong with Larry I love the series makes me laugh every time lol. as for the old sierra adventure game style I prefer it to the new style but then again The old style was what I was brought up on.

As for the original question I have played QG 1-4. So you want to be a hero (QG1) was one of my all time favourite games. I bought the amiga copy on a car boot sale years ago and thats what got me hooked. I think the character development is great part of the game is great, as for QG5 I have never been able to get hold of a copy but I am still looking out for one.

Does anyone still remember Police quest, Kings Quest or Space Quest?

I played 1 to 4 also. I have extremely fond memories of the first 2. They lost the plot a little bit after that IMHO.

Ooohhh Sierra games. Many an hour wasted away. I used to have competitions with the guys at school to see who could finish each one first and with the most points.

The Police Quest series was killed when they turned it into "Swat" I never played them much myself but I found it a sad thing.

Same goes for KQ, they killed that one when they turned it into a hack 'n' slash game(KQ 8 if I'm not much mistaken.).

Space Quest has remained true all the way through, though. Love that series Always had humour all the way through, but still with something serious as well so that it never got TOO silly.
I agree with you on Police Quest. From the second one on, it didnt realy have as much in it... especially not as much fun stuff.
KQ I havent realy played much, but after that I am certainly not going to get KQ8. Ive played 1, 2, 3, and 7; all quite fun. I swear that if a group of private designers makes a program as an extention to a Sierra game (like TDD for BG2), and makes it hack and slash, I will hunt them down and kill them like Cheetaurs...
