Okay, here's my problem...

As I was leaving D'Arnise Keep, after having killed all the silly trolls and ransacked it for all it was worth, Nalia being in my party, I forgot to do something pretty important, to me at any rate. Normally on the way out I make the Flail of the Ages right? This time I forgot, and went outside first.

No big deal right? Well, wrong. I couldn't get back in because of stupid Isaea Roenall taking the keep for himself and everything. I, by the way, am a sorcerer. So I searched both entrances, the secret and the front door, and there was a guy standing outside saying I wasn't allowed back in.

Now, I still have Nalia in my group, putting up with her just because I'm waiting for her to be called away so *maybe* I can get back into the keep when I expose Roenall. (Otherwise I would have dropped her long ago)

My question is, am I waiting for nothing? Is there a way to get back in there? Will I be able to get back into the keep once he's gone? Will it still be locked? Or do I need to just edit in the flail since I've screwed myself over?

Yer Sc***ed.

This is why you make an archive save (ie: "Begin D'Arnise Keep") before any big quest.

Use shadow keep to give yourself the +3 version, otherwise , don't worry, the Flail of Ages is the wimpiest "unique" weapon in the game and will be tossed aside by end game , not worth cheating over if you are any kind of anti-cheating purest.

Well give me a little credit here, I *did* happen to make an archive save like you said, at the beginning of the keep, but I'm honestly just too lazy to go and do that keep over again... it being the pain that it has become for me. I'll keep Nalia till that quest anyway, just for the experience, before kicking her for better company.

And, IMHO, the Flail of the Ages is pretty awesome in TOB, going to a +5, bettering the chances of slowing them, while doing an extra +1 damage for every head, ending up, on a normal enemy, an extra 10 damage. Last game I combined that with the Celestial Fury or something I think, having Valygar dual-wield it for kicks... he tore through anything we encountered.

WELCOME TO IW DAKKON

IMO the Flail of Ages is very good for when you can get it... most of the other 'unique' weapons require you to go through the underdark to get all the parts.. and since with this you can get it as soon as you leave the city gates its pretty dinky.

*grins* Thanks for the welcome, very glad to be here. The control j thing is a very good idea dizzy, I think that's how I'll resolve it... because I don't go into Shadowkeeper unless absolutely necessary... and I heard something about when you go into Shadowkeeper it messes with your romances or something... and whether that's true or not, I likes my lovin'.
