The pilgrimage of the 7 graces

Has anyone ever bothered finishing the 7 pilgrimages????

I had posted the question of this once B4, and nobody could (or would) answer me on this, so I'll try again.

The last one I need is in the "puzzle canal" under the palace of Vivec. You can find a room underneath where there is a stone obelisk that when you approach it it reads "drink of the waters of His glory and the path shall be revealed"

I have no idea what this means. I even tried a suggestion to go under the water that lies in the room, and drowned to death. I didn't think it would work, it didn't.

It sould work. Once you are "dead" (you shouldn't be dead in this case), leave the water, return to the altar, and look around. You should see a new passage to a room with the daedra.
The daedra will want, IIRC, a silver sword. If you haven't any, then there is a chest nearby, which contains 3 suitable swords. Give one of them to the daedra.

Yes, drown yourself. Make sure to remove any hp regneration item you might have. When your hp equal to zero you'll hear a sound of a passageway . Do what Radek mention.

Temple quests kind of ramp up in difficulty after the pilgrimages. Its not the usual "fetch me a lobster" quest line.

you know, I found out what happened to me the first time by actually doing what y'all said. Apparently the first time around, I drowned, becuz I left my Nord warrior lying underwater and everything happened the way it should...
(but here's the kicker) I didn't get him out of the water after the passageway opened up... so he drowned. I guess the timing of the bathroom break was what spelled my disaster.
