You have atleast two options:
1. You can use the CLUAConsole to create you the items (dont know the codes), and:
2. Download Shadowkeeper, and use it to get the items.

I'm sure there are other ways too, but this is the ones I know of.

see ya!

There is a way in multiplayer games. Just export a char from the savegame of your choice and let him join the MPgame with all the equipment.
There's also a cheat if you want to get the equipment right at the beginning (or want to keep your equipment from BG1 for example).
Press Spacebar immediately at the beginning of the game (at the black screen before you hear any sound). Then bring up the controls with "H" and drop all of your equipment (which you haven't lost yet) on the floor. This way the game won't erase it when "clearing" your inventory.
If you really want to swap items from one SINGLE Player Savegame to another there is positively no other way than CLUA or Shadowkeeper.

Multiplayer game
...load up your main char with the item in question as a mule
...export him to a file
...import him into the target game (he will lose all containers, bangs , etc, but straight items he will keep.

Voila ! He's in the new game with the item.

This doesn't work so well when taking a level 8th mage into end game where everyone is 16th , but that's ok. Just export the original char, then import the new one, loot him for the required item , re-import the original charactar.

Single Player
- ShadowKeeper or nothing.
- You can Export the charactar and start over in a multiplayer game if you like, you lose all equip (though you can sneak around that) and the other charactars are limited to 10th level so don't do this when you're 17th or 20th or something.
Then you're in a multplayer game and can play the multiplayer tricks as listed above.

oh , the elder orb does't have the equalizer blade.

Just beyond the entrance, there are some drow killing another beholder. They have the equalizer blade. Be prepared for a fight, but they kill the beholder so you're just dealing with highly magic resistant warriors and a wiz and a cleric.

Use lots of summoned monsters and haste your party. Don't bother with magic missiles or other direct attack spells.

Last two times I took the trip to the Underdark the Equalizer blade was with the drowish war party just beyond the Elder Orb (and company) at the enterance to the Beholder City/Lair.

Both times.

Of course I have ToB installed with the patch , so maybe they just moved it if you're on a different version ...
