hello all,
my brother (who's too lazy to join the forum, so asked me to post for him) is stuck in the clockwork city. You know that bit where you're in a circular room and there's a horrible deadly blade that whizzes around the edge of the room and you have to run for it to get in the doorway? Well he'd gone and donated the Boots of Blinding Speed to the museum, and now he's stuck in that room and can't manage to get through the door without being killed. He says his speed is 100. Obviously he can't teleport out and he doesn't have a recent save game (so really I ought to disown him). Does anyone have any bright ideas??
By the way, if someone posts and they're not sure about anything, and somebody else wants to confirm whether they're right or not, that's absolutely fine with me!!! I like a bit of confirmation, myself.

Does he have any potions that will boost his speed? In particular the elixirs from the dead fabricants can fortify speed.

This area is part of the main quest. what part is he working on right now or is he blindly running around? Is he working for King Helseth or lady Almalexia or both in the proper order? or is he beyond all that.

You need to do console command then since you have no previous save game.

player->setspeed "500"

edit : remember to set the speed back to the original numbers after you have pass that thing.

or, if his acrobatics are high, run and jump, its so much easier. I seem to have no problem getting past this blade and i have no speed bonuses. Its all in the jump...

Has anyone seen that Hammer in the museum. I stole it but it was like lugging around the Statue of Liberty.

yes, but the hammer weight too much. more than 1000ibs. that means you need tons of strenght to carry it.

He should be able to run it if he times it right. Did he try running behind it?
