I was just wondering, do the planets in the wild regenerate themselves after we pluck them? If so, how long does it take for the plants to do so?

By default, 4 months of game time. Unless of course you tweaked the global gamplay settings to lessen the time. I tweaked mine to one month to respawn but I also have adjusted my game time to Real Time.
