fighter guild annoyance!

Okay I'm very annoyed right now. I completed all the minor thieves guild and fighter guild quests all except the final(I think) quest for Percius(sp?).
Just in case some people don't want to know about the quests before they get there....

The thieves guild wants me to bribe the fighters guild mini-bosses and the fighter guild guy wants me to kill the thieves guild mini-bosses. I figured that if I bribe the fighters guild guys then I wouldn't need to kill the thieves guild ones. But then Percius goes and gives me "go kill the other fighters guild bosses" and now when I go to bribe whats-her-name she attacks me. No matter what I do she will always attack me! I become the master of the fighters guild and she still attacks me. I get the cup and she still attacks me.
I don't want to kill her but I get ticked off and figure what the heck and kill her after she attacks me and I GET EXPELLED! from the fighters guild! I get reinstated by Percius of course but he doesn't register I've killed her. "Go kill her and report back"... Umm sure I'll go kill her twice then. I'm tempted to go and kill Percius just to see if it gets rid of the quest but I doubt it will. I know I could just ignore this and go on with the game (become the thieves guild master etc) but it'll still feel like I've failed these quests.
I'm afraid all the old save games I have are really old ones. Does anyone know if there is anything I can do about this? Have I missed something?

Use the "calm humanoid" spell, then bribe her.

Well the mission is really for Stacey not Percius, so go talk to him and tell him you killed Fire-eye, he'll be a bit dissapointed, but will then give you a new mission about bribing hroris or whatever his name is.

Johnny, Calm Humanoid does stop her from attacking you but you don't get the option to bribe. It just brings up a dialog that ends in a big fat immediate goodbye.

Gentleman Jim Stacey wants me to bribe her, Percuis wants me to kill her. If I kill her I get expelled from the fighters guild, and he doesn't recognize that I've killed her. Pufferfish, you might be right, I didn't try talking to Stacey after so I don't know if I can continue that quest path but I still fail his quest.

I've heard other players say they became the guild master of the thieves and fighters guilds and am hoping they might have some ideas.

do what percuis tell you to do and all will be fine.

I've had the same problem. Even if Persius recognice that she has been bribed and only want the Orc in Vivec killed, sometimes Fireeye attacks when I approach near her.

But don't worry, you'll be guildmaster in both guilds anyways.

Haven't come to this part yet, but its a good example of why I do a 'named' save before asking for orders from any of them, then use fast saves until the misson is complete. If conflicts arise, I just skip the misson...

um i say kill her and drink from the cup it raises ur highst skill by 20 and lowers ur lowest by 20 which if its ur lowest u dont really use it that much makin it useless i guess just a sugestion. plus if u dont klike it just reload the game to befor u drank it.
