with the game there is a small booklet that says
The Elder Scrolls III and the name Morrowind below it;
on page 45 there is a section called Resting and Waiting and it reads as follows
in the second paragraph : Waiting is helpful if you want time to pass more quickly until a certain hour (or perhaps a change in weather) Waiting only allows your Fatique to recharge,while resting recharges Fatique, Health, and Magicka, Also resting is the only way to level up.
Press T to rest. T = time. Press T and it will show you the time of day and ask you if you would like to rest and for how long,if you are in a legal sleeping area. Just do a little math and you can figure out how much time you need to sleep in order for the proper time your looking for. if you can't find a bed to sleep in just leave town and sleep by a tree then return to the town at the time you need to do the task.

Oh yeah, i remember that now. I never did that though. Dating a guy, at 11 PM at a lighthouse ? I'm not THAT desperate.

Perhaps you needn't date the guy... just look around carefully, and from unusual perspectives...

Edit: I don't like this new avatar!

Does it actually say to be at the lighthouse at 11 0'clock (2300 hours)? I can't say that I've seen it. Normally I wait until it gets dark, and wait an additional hour until Fargoth starts walking around with his torch.

Don't worry B_part, it won't be there long.

while waiting you could do something else like jumping around to increase your acrobatic skill.

however, some people have noted that you don't have to wait in the lighthouse, you can do something else and later you can go to where fargoth is hiding his goodies.
