Hello! Just got the game and have been playing all of 3 days off & on. I have one basic, stupid question tho, which I have not been able to find the answer to in any of the documentation that came with the game. I'm hoping some kind soul here will answer it for me?

How does one cast a spell?? Whether it's using an enchanted ring or item, or using a healing spell on one's own charater ... well, How exactly do you do it? I can ready them fine... and even assigned hotkeys to them, with no result. What am I missing? I know it's something painfully obvious....

Thank you ever so much!

from the spell menu, click on which spell you want to cast. then close the spell menu, next press " R " button on your keyboard to bring out your casting hands. then simply press left mouse button to cast the spell.

Yes, that about covers it. R to ready spells and F to ready weapons. You should find all the "important keys" listed on the back of your manual. It's titled "Gameplay Controls" The - sign will give you the previous spell and the = will bring up the next spell on your list. If you have any other questions please feel free to ask. There's always someone here who will be able to answer, I'd say welcome to the forum, but it appears you've been here at IW for quite some time already. Enjoy your game it is arguablely one of the best you'll ever play.

For ease of play I re-assigned prev/next magic to z/x and prev/next weapon to c/v.

I'm not at all certain I like the idea of you pressing my buttons when you want to ready your weapon.

There is one huge difference MagiK, the X-box version doesn't have all the nice goodies you can download to make this game much more interresting, so if i were you, i'd crack that box open one of these days, and play it on the PC.
