European Patch

I have recently only just gotten the game, so far i have barley scratched the surface of it.....anyway i installed the european patch and ever since the i keep getting an illeagal operation error whenever i try to load game anyone have any ideas or reasons why this is happening..

Hi,

If you just bought the game, was it necessary to install the patch?
If the number in the lower left of the start-up screen already showed the latest version (sorry, can't remember now), you shouldn't install the patch.
It can give some bizar errors if you override existing data...

I got the game a couple of months ago and installed all patches without encountering a single problem, so the patches should be OK.

If that's not the case, maybe your master file got corrupted...

In each case... restore your old master file (not sure if you can do that without re-installing), check the number, and if the patch is 'needed', download it again to make sure it's OK and upgrade again.
