Vivic Fighters Guild Quest

I'm on the quest for the fighters guild in vivec where I'm to go to Ald'ruh and collect a 2000 debt from Lirielle Stoine. I found her and asked for the money and she says it's her brothers debt and he's dead in Mallpi and she doesn't have the money but that I should go to Mallpi and see if I can find out more there. I went to Mallpi and found her brother's corpse and killed all the monsters in the cavern there, went back to talk to Lirielle to tell her what I had found and it didn't make any difference to the options I had for her. So I went back to Vivic hoping that they'd be satisfied with the findings in Mallpi, but nope they still want the money from Lirielle. I still can't get the money out of her and I can't taunt her enough to get her to attack me. If I kill her anyway everyone in the bar starts attacking me and then the fighters guild doesn't want to have anything to do with me because the bounty on my head is too high and they "don't want to be associated with thugs." Has anyone completed this quest successfully, and if so what steps am I missing?

As far as I remember ... the corpse had some gold (500 ?) , I sold the loot from mallapi & gave 2000 to the guy in fighter's guild. He gave me half of it back, so you end with a -500 balance [img]smile.gif[/img] . Not that you've done some hard labour to earn it anyway [img]smile.gif[/img] . Lirielle won't give you money since she doesn't have it.

Yes, Lirielle doesn't have the money. If you kill her then the quest is completed, otherwise you have to pay them. However, if you went to find her brother, you had a chance to loot a dungeon which, if i recall correctly, was in the "rich" segment, so your losses won't be great.

Vivec fighter's quests are really messy, the more so if you go further, and they usually send you in harm's way without no cover. Since you don't need them to become Guildmaster, and since they might spoil some other options you have in the game, my humble suggestion is that you leave them alone and stick to those in sadrith mora, balmora and ald-ruhn

When I completed all the fighter guild quests in Vivic it seemed to me like I was working for the Dark Brotherhood again. Going out on assassin missions, more than fighter guild quests. The Vivec Fighter Guild seemed to be the only one that gave mainly bounty hunting quests than the others.

I paid the debt out of my own pocket, at that point in the game i was loaded with cash anyway.

Yeah, that stupid orc in the fighters guild is a bit, well, stupid. I lost a lot of money for those missions, but i finally became the head of the fighter's guild.

the orc is corrupt and nasty and basically getting you to do non sanctioned fighter quests, but it can raise your level, but when he starts asking you to kill bigger people just ignore him and go kill hardheart, then the orc jumps you so kill him too, orrible little critter he is

I wouldn't do that right away, it will put a price on your head and might get you expelled from the guild (or at least i think so).
Just remember the old chinese saying, sit calm and wait for the corpse of your enemy to float by in the river... or at least wait, someone might give you a reason to kill those guys, so that you can profit from it
