I have been thanked for rescuing a slave by Ilmeni Dren, in the name of the Twin Lamps - but cannot find anybody else who will mention them, even. Any ideas?

After you have freed a certain number of slaves(20 or so), you will get
the message choice "Twin Lamps" and you will learn more about it. |

Actually, the freed slaves will tell you if you ask about "go free" after freeing 5. They will tell you more if their disposition is 100.

All true, but as far as I can tell, only Arvel and Ilmeni Dren let you take this further as your twin lamps faction increases. So if you want to get into that corner of the game keep visiting Ilmeni (vivec) until she's ready to get you involved.
