possible game error? Redoran quests...

I hope someone can help me.

I am a house father in House Redoran. I have a level 3 stronghold and the support of all the councilors except Garisa Llethri. He wants me to shut down the Caldera mines. (someone said he should ask for a ledger proving that the mines money is being stolen but he skipped that, I brought him the book to no luck either). In the mines, a long time ago I freed a bunch of the slaves there but now people in the town say I should free a slave named Dahleena. I went back and freed the remaining slaves in the mines but none were named Dahleena. Freed the two in the slave shacks a long time ago too. And I've searched and can't find this Dahleena person. Could I have freed her before and the game does not know that?

Also, someone told me another way to shut down the mine was to kill the mine bosses named Stlennius Vibato and Secunia. I killed Stlennius Vibato, he was in the main guard house/offices but I cant find anyone named Secunia anywhere in the mines or the town of Caldera. Anyone know where he is at? Please dont tell me he is a slave I freed a long time ago too?

Could the name be Delyna instead of Dahleena.? I could give you her location if it is. So many names aahhhh!

Thanks for the offer. I am pretty sure the right name is Dahleena. I wrote it down to make sure. Plus I actually have the Morrowind Prophecy book which has her name listed as the one to free to solve the quest. Thing is, it does not tell you where she is, so I am thinking the game must think it is pretty easy to find her. That is what got me thinking that perhaps I had freed her before and the game is messing up. That or for some reason she is in another town.

Have you ever been in the Ebony mines of Caldera? Its only one level right? I found a note about putting someone on "deep exploration duty" as punishment but other than the one area you enter, there does not seem to be any other doors or anything inside the mine itself.

I have found her.
She is in the West Gash Region, Caldera Slave Shack Two just before you cross a bridge. Talking to her was difficult and I only got her disposition up to 55 with an admire. Not much to say to me.
Reading a same note about someone being sent deep into the mines as punishment. I found a copy of rules for slaves also and it seems they are rather chatty. Talking restrictions imposed.

I am heading to the mine now Cornwall! Don't worry, I will be judicious in my use of fire spells

Darn it. Then it is a game error. I freed that slave a long, long time ago and the game is not counting that as a completed quest.

I guess my only chance is to find Secunia, the second mine operator and kill her. Please let me know if you run across that person.

Hey Atrayu,

I just wanted to say thanks for trying to help out. It was real nice of you to head over to Caldera and take a look for me from your saved game. Let me know if you find that other guy. He might be a slave as well, in which case I am screwed I think.

There are console commands that can restore characters to their original state. You should be able to find them by looking on yahoo or something. If that doesnt work you could always go into the construction editor.

I'm having the same problem, did anyone actualy get it to work. I freed the slaves also and found the ledger, but Mr Leithri(sp?) still doesn't accept that I've done the quest.
