I've got the hammer, and found the place where the sword of keening was kept ... and then I remembered that I had found it once before, but since it killed me almost immediately, I threw it away. Now what do I do!!!!!? Any ideas, anyone?

I reply to myself - hunting the web I found a cheat that makes the sword appear in the inventory. I went on to finish the game...

And where did you find the cheat? I've done the same thing to myself with a ring for the Morag Tong quests.

Can't help you very much on this one - I found the cheat for adding item, and instead of gold_100 I said keening, and instead of, say, 10,000, I said 1.
